In this chapter screwtape, talks about a new way of distracting humans. He suggest that it's ok if they choose to become Christians as long as they are distracted with other things to keep them from connecting their souls with God. He has came up with Fashion . We all know that ,although people may love God ,they can loose their purpose when it comes to fashion. Fashion is another way of competing against one another, how distracting is that. In order to keep up with fashion , a person will have to spend money, sometimes money they don't have. Oh , here it is , the trick ;spending money puts you debt,debt causes you to become depress. The love of money is the root of all evil. The distraction from the devil never end.

Fashion is definitely a way a competing with one another which people can take too seriously. Always wanting to be better than someone else is not the way to live and doing things like spending all of your money on the newest and best clothes is not the way to live a life for God or even a practical way to live. There are many other things that are more important in a persons life than the clothes that they are wearing. I think it is okay to treat yourself now and then to someting nice but it should not become who you are.
I think that letter 25 applies fashion to Christianity Fashion. Actually out there are several religions that look the same but there are not. There are Christians that believe in the same God but with different practices. Some seems to be easy to follow others impossible to accomplish. What is the goal of all this churches and religions (Christians)? These fashions distract and merely confuse believers in what is the real truth.
